Itinerary
First day, Saturday: San Sebastián-Carranza.
Reception in San Sebastián at 13:00h. at the hotel.
City tour and lunch, afterwards our luxury coach will take us to Bilbao, where the Transcantábrico Gran Lujo awaits us.
Upon arrival, the crew will offer us a welcome drink.
Journey to Carranza while enjoying our first dinner on board.
Overnight in Carranza.
Second day, Sunday: Carranza-Santander.
We begin the morning, as every day, with our delicious à la carte and buffet breakfast.
Return to Bilbao to visit this dynamic city that has reinvented itself after the decline of its traditional heavy industry.
The visit includes entry to the famous Guggenheim Museum, the symbol of this new Bilbao.
Return to the train to enjoy lunch on board while heading to Santander.
Tour of the elegant capital of Cantabria and free time to explore it at your own pace.
Dinner and overnight in Santander.
Third day, Monday: Santander-Cabezón de la Sal.
During breakfast, we will travel to Cabezón de la Sal by train.
Transfer by bus for a visit to the La Hermida spa, thermal bath or free time.
Lunch at the spa, in the afternoon we will visit Gaudí's Capricho in Comillas.
Dinner and overnight on board in Cabezón de la Sal.
Fourth day, Tuesday: Cabezón de la Sal-Llanes.
We begin the day with a visit to the village of Santillana del Mar, with its beautifully preserved medieval historic center.
Then, we will visit the Neo-cave of Altamira, museum, and an accurate reproduction of this prime example of Upper Paleolithic cave art.
After lunch on board, we will head into Asturias to Llanes.
Dinner on board and overnight in Llanes.
Fifth day, Wednesday: Llanes-Oviedo.
After breakfast, we will travel with our coach to the heart of the Picos de Europa National Park.
We will visit the Sanctuary of Covadonga, a sacred place full of tradition and legend.
Return to the train for lunch on board while traveling to Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias and an example of Asturian pre-Romanesque with gems like the church of San Julián de los Prados.
Visit, outdoor dinner, and overnight in Oviedo on the train.
Sixth day, Thursday: Oviedo - Luarca.
We begin the day with a visit to Gijón, a city as open to the Cantabrian Sea as it is full of cultural events.
City tour and outdoor lunch.
Return to the train to travel along the Asturian coastline to Luarca, the White Town of the Green Coast, where we will enjoy a guided visit in this charming fishing village.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luarca.
Seventh day, Friday: Luarca - Viveiro.
Travel to Ribadeo, a historic Galician town on the border with the Principality of Asturias.
By bus, we will explore the coast of Lugo to the Playa de Las Catedrales, one of the most spectacular beaches in the world.
Afterward, we will take a panoramic tour of Ribadeo and have lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will reach Viveiro by train, where, after a guided tour, we will have free time.
Dinner on board and overnight in Viveiro.
Eighth day, Saturday: Viveiro - Santiago de Compostela.
Enjoying our last breakfast on board, we will arrive in Ferrol, where the bus will take us to Santiago de Compostela.
Visit the historic center of this city, a pilgrimage destination for a thousand years, home to countless artistic treasures such as its magnificent cathedral.
End of the trip after the visit at the Parador de los Reyes Católicos around 13:00h.
